Lot 421 Handbills Singles: L&YR handbill for the exhibition of ambulance train at Barnsley (L&Y) station, Sunday 11th November 1917. Red and black print, 2pp, a little dog eared. - Sold for £22 to bidder number 4383.

Lot 422 Handbills Pre-Grouping: Two GNR handbills for reduced fares to Hertford from local stations for the Hertford Town whit-Monday fete 1922 and excursion to Folkestone from the Hitchin area August 1899. Plus GCR handbill for excursion to London from Liverpool for the Anglo-American exhibition June 1914. Last example creased and torn. (3) - Sold for £50 to bidder number 3021.

Lot 423 Handbills Pre-Grouping: Twelve MIDLAND RAILWAY handbills, all for excursions from the Bradford area to various locations including events in London, Epsom Races, Newcastle Races, Buxton Well Dressing. All on coloured paper, dated 1870s. (12) - Sold for £55 to bidder number 324.

Lot 424 Handbills Pre-Grouping: L&YR. Ten L&YR single page excursion handbills, mostly to Blackpool or Hull Fair. All on coloured paper, dated 1891 - 1908. String tears and small areas of loss to most. (10) - Sold for £55 to bidder number 872.

Lot 426 Handbills Pre-Grouping: APPROX 15 early handbills from pre-grouping companies including Cambrian, E&W Junction and MR, Furness, GCR, GER, IOW Railway, etc. Interesting selection, unfortunately most in poor condition, many with areas of loss. (13) - Sold for £120 to bidder number 2708.

Lot 427 Handbills Pre-Nat: Two M&GN handbills. Norwich City football trips and day excursions to Sheringham and Cromer. Green print, dated 1937. (2) - Sold for £50 to bidder number 3542.

Lot 428 Handbills Pre-Nat: SR Western Section 1pp timetable handbill for the North Devon & Cornwall Light Railway service between Torrington and Halwill. Dated July 1925. String tear and loss top l/h corner. - Sold for £16 to bidder number 572.

Lot 429 Handbills Pre-Nat: Three SR longer type cheap fares and excursion handbills. Jubilee parade and inspection of police at Hyde Park by HM King July 1935, Portsmouth Navy week July 1937, visit RMS Aquitania at Southampton Docks May 1933. Lot 434 Menus: LNER menu from the "Coronation" train. Red, blue and gold covers showing English and Scottish coats of arms with illustration of A4 "Dominion of Canada" on rear. Opens to show menu and wine list for third class dinner on August 4th 1938. Creased and a little worn. - Sold for £35 to bidder number 1204.
