Lot 598 Luggage Labels: LSWR type L96 luggage label to St Malo with the large capital letter "L". Semi-circular shaped label, red print. In common with early GWR practice, it is thought that the letter stood for the first letter of the passengers surname, thus allowing easy identification of luggage at the destination station.
