Lot 569 Hardware Items: A builders plate, JOHN BENNIE, STAR ENGINE WORKS GLASGOW, 5. Engraved brass, 6"x3½". Bennie built steam winches for lifting steamers out of the water, including an installation at Loch Lomond. George Bennie, the inventor of the Railplane, was a member of the family. - Sold for £75 to bidder number 9043.
